FirstHand Spices Freshly Ground. Purely Trusted.

From Our Hands to Yours

A small brand with one stubborn belief: a spice should smell like something when you open it.

Whole spices and ground masalas laid out on a board
Nothing added. Only the spice.
Our story

Why We Started

FirstHand Spices began with a simple frustration: spices that smelled of nothing. Too many packets on the shelf had been sitting for months, ground long before anyone thought about the kitchen they would end up in.

So we built the opposite. We select carefully, grind in small batches, and pack in hygienic conditions so that what reaches you still carries the aroma it had at the source. Nothing is added — no colour, no filler, no anti-caking agent. Just the spice.

That is the whole promise, and it is the reason the name is what it is. From our hands to yours.

How we work

Three Steps, No Shortcuts

The whole process, in the order it happens.

  1. 01

    Select

Whole spices are chosen for aroma first. If it does not smell right in the hand, it does not go in the pack.

  2. 02

    Grind

Ground close to dispatch in small batches, never months ahead, because ground spice starts losing its aroma immediately.

  3. 03

    Seal

Filled and sealed in hygienic conditions, in food-grade resealable pouches and airtight jars.

Four Promises We Can Be Held To

If we ever break one, tell us.

  1. 01

    One ingredient

If the pack says cumin, cumin is the entire ingredient list. No colour, no filler, no anti-caking agent.

  2. 02

    Ground in small batches

We grind close to dispatch, not months ahead. Ground spice starts losing aroma the day it is milled.

  3. 03

    Sealed properly

Food-grade resealable pouches and airtight jars, filled and sealed in hygienic conditions.

  4. 04

    Honest labels

The weight on the pack is the weight in the pack, and the best-before date is real.
