Mace is the crimson lace that wraps the nutmeg seed, and it is the more elegant of the two — lighter, more floral, less sweet. Whole blades are graded for colour, because good mace dries to a warm amber rather than a dull brown.
100% whole mace blades (Myristica fragrans aril).
Warm and floral, more delicate and refined than nutmeg.
Biryani, korma, garam masala, mughlai gravies and fine desserts.
Store the blades whole in an airtight jar away from light.
Pouches are food-grade and resealable. Jars are airtight. Available sizes for this spice: Pouch 10 gm, Pouch 100 gm, Pouch 200 gm, Pouch 500 gm, Jar 50 gm, Jar 150 gm, Jar 500 gm.
